Austrian Silver Philharmonic Silver Coin History: 

This is the first ever silver bullion coin to be introduced in the Euro.  The Austrian Minted 1 oz silver coin known as the Philharmonic is almost a replica of its golden counterpart, and was designed to showcase Austria’s rich history in music and arts.

The Austrian Mint, near historic Vienna, has been producing some of the most beautiful and perfect coins in the world for over 800 years. 

€1.5 Euro 1 oz Silver Philharmonic Coin Details:

• Minted in Vienna Austria
• Diameter 37 mm
• Obverse: Features various instruments including a string bass, cello, violin, bassoon and harp used in the Orchestra representing Austria’s rich musical history along with the word sliver in German.
• Reverse: Features the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra’s image of the “Great Organ” found in the “Great Hall.”  There is also the country of issue along with the legal tender of €1,5 Euro.
