Although they have been in release since 1997, there have been a few years when no platinum eagles were issued due to an insufficient quantity of blanks. There were no bullion platinum eagles released from 2009-2013 or in 2015. The US Mint does list the 2022 Platinum Eagle on its website but there is no release date posted for 2022.
